Ordering Instructions - How to Shop at Leading Edge Books Online

 If you are unsure of what you would like to buy just have a browse of the site and become familiar with our store. Firstly, you should check our "Specials" which are often located on the front page and in the bestseller lists for all the great bargains on offer. Then browse a particular category, by clicking on the categories located on the left-hand side of the screen.

 If you would like to order a particular book:-

1. Find A Product

Fill in the required details on the "Search For Books" section located on the top left hand side of the screen and then click the "Search" button. If your search is successful, a list of matching titles will be displayed. (If your search is not successful just email us the details and we will let you know the availability.)   * Please note: not all books listed online are kept in stock.

2. When searching by Title, try and get as close to the title as possible with preference for the first few words rather than key words. The search engine likes looking for "Harry Potter" rather than "Potter Goblet Fire"
3. Author can be put in as either "Stephen King", "King, Stephen" (note the comma between the surname and first name), or "King, S" (note the comma between the surname and first initial), or "S King". Other combinations may fail.
4. ISBN is an exact match and so needs to be pretty accurate (100% accurate in fact)

2. Choose a product

Once you have located the title that you wish to purchase click on the hyperlink title of the book and you will see an icon where you will be able to "Add" the title to the "shopping cart". (and maybe some more information or a book cover). To select a product for purchase, click on the "Add" icon and you will be transported to the "shopping cart" form. You do not need to fill in details at this point. but you may check your order is correct by scrolling down the page to view your order. You can remove unwanted items from your "shopping cart" at this time.
 
 
3. Buying Additional Items

You can continue shopping by pressing the "Continue Shopping" button at the bottom of the "shopping cart" form which takes you back to the home page. Repeat the Search process to find and to add different items.
 
 
4. "I have finished selecting my order, what now?"

Once you are happy with your order, go to the shopping basket page located at the second most right hand button on the button bar at the top of the page (right underneath the main Leading Edge Banner). Once you are happy with your order you can click on the "Check Out" Button. From here you can fill out the billing and shipping address details and then onto the credit card processing page. Payment will be made upon confirmation of available funds. {Please note that your credit card will be charged before the book/s are despatched. ) You will then receive an email confirming your order and also a reference order number. We will notify you within 5 working days if the book/s that you ordered are not in stock and whether we can backorder them.
 
 
5. Would you like Gift-Wrapping or to send a Message to the Receiver?

If you have special delivery instructions like gift wrapping or a message to the receiver, there is a section for this when you place your shipping details.
